TWENTY-FIVE DINING TABLE - TIMBER TOP

With its sloping contours, solid form, and tactile materials, the Twenty-Five Dining Table is an expressive centrepiece that enriches with time.

A celebration of handcraft, the table top originally tiled in Portuguese azulejos is now additionally available in solid wood — a continued reflection of the Twenty-Five collection’s values: tactility, timelessness, and craftsmanship.

From tapered legs to complex joinery and detailed surface work, Twenty-Five takes full advantage of De La Espada’s craft expertise.

Tapered legs are turned on a lathe, then a heart-shaped centre panel is inserted into a carved recess between them.

Cross beams on the underside of the tabletop provide stability, while their curvature hides them from sight when the table is in use.

Drawing on the restrained elegance of mid-century Scandinavian and French design, the table also takes structural cues from the graceful arches of bridges.

The timber tabletop makes a feature of its parquet-inspired construction, with locking dowels punctuating the expanse; this calls attention to where planks meet end-to-end joined with hidden mortises and through-tenons. Not only beautiful, this construction allows for greater flexibility with table lengths, no longer bound by the height of a tree.

Thoughtfully designed to suit both compact interiors and open-plan spaces, Twenty-Five is available in a range of lengths - making it a refined statement for city apartments or spacious homes.

A celebration of Portuguese tradition and innovation, Twenty-Five's tiled tabletop features Portuguese azulejos handmade in Sintra at the renowned Viúva Lamego workshop.

The high-gloss tiles create an expressive and reflective surface and add depth and character to living spaces.

As an artisanal product, each tile is unique, adding individuality to every table.

The table's expertly crafted timber frame has an inviting tactility enhanced by details including the gently sloping and rounded shape of the table edge, the rounded corners, and the thick tabletop inspired by the work of Charlotte Perriand.

SHOP TWENTY-FIVE DINING TABLE

A single Twenty-Five Table takes approximately five full days or 40 hours to craft, including timber selection, CNC machining, assembly, tiling and hand finishing.
