BIT
BIT is an anti-chain of restaurants in Oslo and Bergen, each with its own unique atmosphere, serving high quality made to order sandwiches, salads, and baked goods. Developed in the vision of Oslo based Dinamo Design, the brand provides everyday luxury in peoples lives by elevating their eating experience.
The Oslo branch of BIT, located in the 'English quarter' of the city, benefits from unique grandiose architecture complete with tall ceilings, vertical lines, and large, arched windows overlooking a busy intersection. It is a quiet sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the daily grind of our busy lives. The space, conceived and designed by Axel Hartvig-Larsen and Morten Kristiansen of Dinamo Design in collaboration with Karoline Bommen (Concept Design) and Visual Artist, Karen Leon, is clean, open, light and airy; a place for thought, and for renewing your energy – a place where the most important objects in the space are the people that inhabit it. Natural elements are combined with contemporary furniture. Salvaged wood, plants, and natural stones form a light, fresh and calmly invigorating, yet edgy space. Diners can enjoy the comfort of Low Lounge Chair or Fin Dining Chair, both designed by Matthew Hilton for his eponymous brand, and manufactured by De La Espada.
