As part of our ongoing mission to aid projects aligned with our values, De La Espada is proud to support Building Pictures for the first three episodes of a special English-language season of their celebrated podcast No País dos Arquitectos (In the Country of Architects).
For three episodes of season seven, international architects visit our Porto gallery for inspiring conversations with Building Pictures director Sara Nunes, revealing the stories behind great architecture.

LISTEN TO NERI&HU IN CONVERSATION WITH SARA NUNES
In the first episode, Sara speaks with Lyndon Neri and Rosanna Hu of Neri&Hu. They discuss architecture as a cultural, social and environmental responsibility and dive into a selection of the studio's projects across China, including Waterhouse at South Bund, highlighting sensitivity to context and creative adaptation to local conditions. Neri&Hu also discuss their long-standing collaboration with De La Espada.
LISTEN TO LOUISA HUTTON IN CONVERSATION WITH SARA NUNES
In the second episode, Sara speaks with Louisa Hutton from German studio Sauerbruch Hutton, about the use of colour in architecture and the future of cities. They discuss attention to the urban context, texture, pattern and scale. Exploring a selection of the studio's projects across Germany and Italy, they highlight sensitivity to materials, sensory impact and sustainable solutions that balance design, community and the environment.
ABOUT NO PAÍS DOS ARQUITECTOS
No País dos Arquitectos is a podcast by Portuguese architect, filmmaker, and director of Building Pictures, Sara Nunes. Most often conducted in Portuguese, the podcast has a strong focus on Portuguese architecture, featuring conversations with luminaries including Eduardo Souto de Moura, Álvaro Siza, and Manuel Aires Mateus. International guests over the years have included Amanda Levete, Alejandro Aravena, and Kengo Kuma, among other esteemed participants, and the seventh season invites guests from countries including China, Germany, Spain and more.
Sara Nunes, a trained architect, established Building Pictures in 2013 to bring people closer to architecture. Her films and conversations provide an intimate view into some of the world’s greatest projects through intelligent insight and evocative storytelling.
