Throughout the month of October, fashion designer Gabriela Hearst presents an exclusive capsule collection in an installation in the iconic 2nd floor Atrium of Selfridges, London, as part of their ongoing sustainability initiative, Project Earth. For the collection, named 'Retro Fit', existing garments made with impeccable construction and uncompromising noble materials have been modified with artisanal details to create new and beautifully adapted pieces.
Gabriela Hearst selected De La Espada furniture to furnish the space due to shared values of longevity, craft, premium materials, and sensitivity for the environment. All of the furniture is ex-display to limit waste, eliminating the need to make new pieces for the exhibition.
De La Espada products on display include Solo Vitrine, Commune Stool, and Solo Daybed by Neri&Hu; and Colombo Dining Armchair, Manta Dining Chair, Armstrong Coffee Table, and Hepburn Modular Sofa by Matthew Hilton.
Visit the Selfridges store in London before November 1st to view the installation.
While at Selfridges, you may also wish to visit the 3rd Floor Body Studio, designed by Neri&Hu, to see further Neri&Hu products in the flesh including Lattice light and Lianou Stool; and at the Hemsley + Hemsley restaurant, Solo Dining Chair and Solo Bar Stool.
