3DAYSOFDESIGN COPENHAGEN 2024
At 3daysofdesign Copenhagen, 12-14 June 2024, Garde Hvalsøe and De La Espada presented a joint exhibition entitled Crafted to Last, uniting work by both brands under the curatorial eye of stylist Pernille Vest.
In the Garde Hvalsøe showroom, designed by Bunn Studio to feel like home, Garde Hvalsøe kitchens and interior solutions were exhibited with a selection of De La Espada furniture from across our creative partnerships. Curated with meticulous attention to detail by interiors stylist Pernille Vest, who carefully handpicked key pieces that perfectly embody the fusion of generations-old craft techniques and contemporary aesthetics, the exhibition brought together furniture, kitchens, and small art objects, each designed and made with longevity in mind.
As part of the exhibition, De La Espada exhibited the new Albireo sofa system by Anthony Guerrée and the new Arts & Crafts cabinet system by De La Espada Atelier.
The Crafted to Last exhibition highlights the shared values of Garde Hvalsøe and De La Espada, who both call upon the craft traditions of woodworking to create thoughtfully designed products built to last.
Luis De Oliveira, co-founder of De La Espada says:
“Despite the geographical distance, Garde Hvalsøe and De La Espada share very similar values and approach to making furniture. Our close relationships with master craftspeople — Garde Hvalsøe with select workshops in Denmark, and De La Espada with our own workshop in Portugal — mean we stand behind the material choices, the detailing, and the design of our products. This exhibition blends our traditions under the creative eye of Pernille Vest, an interior stylist who is particularly adept at highlighting the sensory aspects of design,”
The exhibition continued until 12 July 2024.
