Apartment AMC is located in a block that forms part of Terraços de Bragança, the set of buildings in Lisbon’s Chiado district designed by Álvaro Siza Vieira. rar.studio designed the apartment interior with sensitivity for the existing design while focussing on the needs and desires of the client. Their interventions maximised the size of the interior, increased the flow between the spaces, and brought about a more luminous apartment while taking full advantage of the westward view. Pale wooden flooring is met by pure white walls that reflect the natural light, while furniture in blonde wood and soft colours maintains the open feeling of the spaces. De La Espada furniture features throughout, including Duet Chair, Frame Sofa, Frame Bed, Solo Bench, Extend Mirror, Trio Side Table, and Trunk Low Cabinet designed by Neri&Hu; and Laurel Side Table and Laurel Coffee Table designed by Luca Nichetto.

Frame is a sofa system supported by a wooden frame structure to which various accessories can be clipped, such as a tray or light. Designed by neri&hu and manufactured by De La Espada for the neri&hu brand.

Laurel coffee table is composed of two pure geometric shapes, cone and cylinder, intersecting to create two wide and functional surfaces, distributed at different levels. In keeping with the other elements of the collection, the ratio of the materials used is 50/50, in this case painted and hand-polished hdf for the cone, that appears to balance weightlessly upon the cylindrical marble base. Designed by Luca Nichetto and manufactured by De La Espada for the Nichetto brand.

Sophisticated and comfortable, Solo Bench works equally well on its own, or as a footstool for Solo Sofa. Designed by neri&hu and manufactured by De La Espada for the neri&hu brand.

In the past, common bamboo ladders were used as household objects inside and outside country homes in China, functioning as an ever-ready stand for hanging a wide variety of things from tools and cloths to dried food. As a tribute to this utilitarian household symbol, neri&hu used three different ladder proportions to make a set of solid hardwood frames for floor standing mirrors. They lean on the floor in a casual manner, as ladders do, and can be used alone or as an interesting ensemble of many ladders with varying heights on the wall. Duet is named for the two flowing lines of timber that form the overall shape of the chair. Originally created as a variation on the classic Thonet bent-wood tradition, the Duet Chair is actually made from a series of carved wood components, joined with mortise and tenon, creating the appearance of continuous curves, while the visible join lines and beautiful grain patterns reveal the chair’s construction. Designed by neri&hu and manufactured by De La Espada for the neri&hu brand.

The Trio series is a tectonic exploration where the composition of the table legs is the design focal point. The tables stand on three legs, with each leg attached to another leg with an intermediate horizontal substructure. The tables express a purity of form and material, with the unexpected design focus under the table, where an intricately composed lattice work brings a hidden elegance to the otherwise simple and unassuming table ensemble. Trunk Cabinets carry echos of ancient China, when a bride and groom would be given trunks as gifts at their wedding, and bring these trunks, full of personal items, into their new home. Trunk Low Cabinet is a utilitarian design in stunning, luxurious materials. It has three internal compartments, each with a shelf which can be adjusted to three possible heights. One removable solid wood storage box increases storage possibilities. Designed by Neri&Hu and manufactured by De La Espada for the neri&hu brand.
