Marlon is a table with an understated form that highlights the beautiful contrast of materials. A timber frame supports a marble tabletop set upon slender legs in timber or marble for a table that is visually light yet extremely robust. Each table is formed from numerous segments, creating intriguing design details where the parts intersect. Designed by Luca Nichetto and manufactured by De La Espada for the Nichetto brand.

Gemstones set into jewellery were the starting point for Steve -- a series of upholstered poufs for Luca Nichetto’s eponymous furniture collection for De La Espada. The Steve poufs feature short cast iron legs that support visible wooden structures crowned with upholstery, and are available in two sizes. Perfect as a stand alone piece, Steve can also complement the Blanche, Stanley and Elysia chairs. It continues the aim of the Nichetto Collection to combine heritage styling with contemporary design. Designed by Luca Nichetto and manufactured by De La Espada for the Nichetto brand.

For his Nichetto collection for De La Espada, Luca Nichetto has been reimagining the design language of 1950s American furniture. Kim, a family of nested items including two tables and a bench, is a case in point. Available as a set or as stand alone pieces, the three items in the Kim family share common materials, while each having their own distinct form. Simple but with a strong sense of character, Kim’s finished wooden surfaces straddle the boundaries between the natural and the manmade. Designed by Luca Nichetto and manufactured by De La Espada for the Nichetto brand.

When it launched in 2015, the Elysia lounge chair was the first product in the Nichetto collection for De La Espada. For 2016, it has been joined by Nino, an ottoman that shares its stylistic principles. Nino perfectly matches Elysia, as well as complementing the other items in the Nichetto collection. Its solid wood skeleton is exposed rather than concealed, showcasing its fine material and craftsmanship, while its fusion of wood and upholstered materials is inspired by mid-century design. Designed by Luca Nichetto and manufactured by De La Espada for the Nichetto brand.

In keeping with the other elements of the collection, the ratio of the materials used is 50/50, in this case painted and hand-polished hdf for the cone, that appears to balance weightlessly upon the cylindrical marble base. Designed by Luca Nichetto and manufactured by De La Espada for the Nichetto brand.

The perfect synthesis of superior woodwork and fine tailoring is revealed in Elysia. The lounge chair has a solid wood leg construction that cradles the padded shell of the seat and the backrest. The “skeleton”, traditionally hidden inside the upholstery, is deliberately exposed to showcase the craftsmanship and premium timber. The exceptional comfort Elysia offers is visually communicated through the padding enveloping the shell, and the generous folds of fabric on the cushion.
