After previews throughout 2014, Luca Nichetto’s fully developed brand, Nichetto, manufactured by De La Espada, made its formal debut at Maison et Objet, Paris from 23-27 January. New products including Dubois bed, Marlon dining table, Vivien dining chair, Harold desk, Blanche bergère, and Mitch cabinet, joined Elysia lounge chair, Laurel coffee and side tables, and Stanley sofa creating a well-rounded collection for residential or contract interiors. The pioneering yet classical forms highlight the unique characteristics of the premium materials and superior craft. Colour palettes inspired by nature are applied to the selection of fabrics, materials, and combinations. Recognisable on every continent, these warm, neutral and cold tones have enduring relevance, enhancing the timeless elegance of each product.

A specially designed, 40sq metre domestic space at Maison et Objet captured the Nichetto design ethos. Visitors enjoyed the complete collection of furniture in a comfortable environment with colours and textures derived from nature, carefully chosen accessories, and perennially beautiful furniture with exquisite detailing.

In a nod to his deep respect for craft across all disciplines, Luca Nichetto presented additional products from his design portfolio alongside Nichetto furniture at Maison et Objet. Boda, a family of coffee and side tables with internal storage space, are hand-woven by experts in Chile for Made in Mimbre. Nets carpets, inspired by the interweaving of fishing nets and made from recycled plastic bottles are made by Triton rugs. A collection of bedlinen made by Zucchi designed in collaboration with Massimo Gardone, Herbarium #1, will dress the Nichetto bed, the timeless colour palette the perfect accompaniment to the furniture collection. Finally, following the collaboration for the New York event in 2014, Yulia Yadryshnikova designed a family of pillows for the Nichetto brand called Stella, which will punctuate the space.
