To kick off 2020, we are launching 10 new products by two of our collaborating designers. Matthew Hilton is expanding his product line with two dining chairs, a bar stool, lounge chair, side table, and an extending dining table. Jason Miller rounds out his collection with his first bedroom furniture, including a bed and bedside chest; his first desk; and a rectangular version of his popular Elliot Dining Table.

MATTHEW HILTON LAUNCHES

New products by Matthew Hilton include Ando Chair, a compact solid wood chair with a carved timber backrest; Carlo Side Table, a sculptural side table with an architectural quality carved from a single block of marble; and Refectory Extending Table, a solid wood extending table that is tough yet elegant. Hilton also extends his Saia seating series with the addition of a lounge chair and bar stool; and releases an update of his classic design, Manta Dining Chair. Originally conceived in bent plywood, Manta has been re-engineered as a solid wood chair.

“We aim to make furniture with a weighty, robust feeling, a quiet, contemplative atmosphere of calm. The designs are stripped back and their presence comes quietly from strength and utility rather than noisy personality,” Matthew Hilton.

JASON MILLER LAUNCHES

Jason Miller expands his product line with Carlton Bed, made from carved wood components with an upholstered headboard; and Elliot Desk/Dressing Table, with two heights for two different functions, two soft-close drawers, and a leg design shared with Elliot Table and Chair. Miller also extends his Classon storage range with the addition of a bedside chest; and expands the options of Elliot Dining Table, launched in 2018 as an oblong table, to include the option of a rectangular shape.

“I am excited about the new products launching this year. With a desk and bed, the collection is expanded into the realms of working and sleeping. Each piece crafted beautifully by the skilled people at De la Espada’s own factory, and imbued with the humanity that I strive for in all of my work," Jason Miller.

Late February, the products will make their debut at the New York store of De La Espada retailer and US launch partner, The Future Perfect. Display products will include Refectory Table, Ando Chair, Saia Lounge Chair and Saia Bar Stool by Matthew Hilton; and Elliot Desk/Dressing Table by Jason Miller.
