Charlene Mullen is a London-based designer, creating beautifully executed textiles for residential and commercial interiors. Mullen's aesthetic is born of her training in illustration and textiles combined with over 15 years' experience designing embroideries for leading fashion houses including Calvin Klein, Donna Karan and Givenchy. Drawing on a wide range of inspiration such as Swiss paper cuts, Blackwork, scientific structures, and tribal costumes, Mullen plays with scale and colour, creating intricate embroideries with a contemporary aesthetic and a deeply personal feel.

They are also active members of the Rebirth Project, creating products and initiatives relevant to the global and social environment.

With an intention to question the potential in “Chinese design”, neri&hu seeks to alternatives to the normative. neri&hu is the reinterpretation of the beauty in the raw material, changing perceptions through what is revealed, examining history and its path, or capturing an ordinary scene in a snapshot.
